2008 Olympic Results From Beijing -
Women's Long Jump

The 2008 Olympic Results for the Women's Long Jump competition ended up being just as competitive as the Men's long jump in Beijing.

For the women the difference between gold and silver was one centimeter.

Not only were the top two competitors separated by one centimeter, they each only recorded two legal jumps.

It definitely became a stressful competition for these two jumpers, and a highly entertaining event for the crowd.

The actual distances and fouls for each jump can be seen in the chart below. See how close the competition became, especially on the final attempt.
